Art Rental for Contemporary Spaces
Curated contemporary art for businesses, hospitality and private members’ environments.
A flexible way to live with serious contemporary art — without the commitment of ownership.
what is art rental?
Art rental allows businesses and organisations to display high-quality contemporary artworks without purchasing them outright.
Rather than committing to a single permanent acquisition, clients rent a curated selection of works on a flexible monthly basis — bringing cultural depth, visual impact and curatorial intent into their space, while keeping capital fluid.
At Wild Beast Art, rental is not about decoration. It is about placing confident, culturally relevant artworks into environments that value design, identity and atmosphere — from corporate headquarters and private members clubs to hospitality and creative spaces.
Each rental collection is tailored to the space itself: its architecture, audience, function and brand tone. Works can remain long-term, rotate over time, or transition into acquisition if the relationship with a piece develops.
Rental fees are calculated at 2% of the total artwork value per month, providing a clear, scalable way to access museum-quality contemporary art.

why rent from wild beast art
Curated, Not Generic
Every rental collection is assembled with intent. We consider architecture, audience, brand identity and the way a space is actually used. The result is artwork that feels embedded in the environment — not applied to it.Serious Contemporary Artists
Our programme includes internationally exhibiting artists, with works shown in galleries, institutions and private collections worldwide. These are artworks with presence, narrative and long-term relevance — not disposable décor.Flexible Without Compromise
Rental allows you to live with ambitious artwork while maintaining flexibility. Collections can evolve over time, rotate seasonally, or transition into acquisition. The relationship between space and artwork is allowed to develop naturally.Clear, Scalable Pricing
Rental fees are calculated at 2% of the total artwork value per month, offering transparency and scalability across single works or full collections.A Partner, Not a Supplier
We work closely with each client, acting as a long-term curatorial partner rather than a one-off service. From initial consultation to installation and ongoing care, every detail is handled with discretion and professionalism. For many organisations, art rental is not only a cultural decision — it is a financial one.
Purchasing art outright is typically treated as a capital expenditure (CAPEX), tying up budget in non-core assets and requiring long-term balance sheet commitment. While acquisition has its place, it is not always the most agile or efficient use of capital.
Art rental, by contrast, is generally treated as an operational expense (OPEX).
This allows organisations to:
.Preserve capital for core business activity
.Avoid large upfront expenditure
.Align art spend with operational budgets
.Scale collections up or down as spaces evolve
Rental also removes the administrative and logistical burden associated with ownership — including valuation, storage, resale considerations and long-term asset management.
At 2% of the total artwork value per month, rental provides predictable, transparent monthly costs while giving access to ambitious, museum-quality contemporary works.
For finance teams, this means clarity and control.
For leadership teams, it means cultural impact without financial rigidity.
A Smarter Use of Capital
OPTION TO PURCHASE
Art rental can also be a pathway to ownership.
At the end of the rental period, clients have the option to purchase any artwork within their rental collection. Should they choose to acquire a work, 50% of the rental fees already paid for that artwork are deducted from the final purchase price.
This allows organisations to live with a piece, understand its presence within the space, and make an informed acquisition decision — without duplication of spend.
Example
Artwork value: £25,000
Rental period: 12 months
Total rental paid: £6,000
Purchase credit applied (50%): £3,000
Final purchase price: £22,000
In effect, rental becomes a meaningful contribution toward ownership,
Rent first. Decide later. Purchase with confidence.
